Kamal leads the Portfolio Management, Resolution and Exit Solution Services.

Kamal worked with the D. E. Shaw group for more than 18 years and headed their Private Equity investments in India for close to a decade. Kamal was also responsible for the banking relationships for D. E. Shaw in Asia.

Kamal led investments of more than US$ 600mm in varied sectors like, renewable energy, technology, security, gaming, ed-tech, real-estate, hospitality, and manufacturing. He also served as a director on boards of many companies in India and abroad and co-produced two Hollywood movies

Successfully managed exits of more than US$1 billion (with half of these in real-estate sector) and successfully led settlement negotiations for FCCB positions on behalf of D. E. Shaw and other bond holders in several positions.
